Im just a teenager. 16 soon, and i do stretch my ears. i am at a 16 mm and going to 18's soon. both ears. for this girls ears to have died like that was from not taking care of her ears. she stretched too quickly or didnt use the right tools. so dont think that if you stretch your ears this will happen to you.

I'm not going to add to the rumor mill or make stupid comments about who got the short end of the stick here. Speculation on what went on and how the came to be is really IRRELEVANT at this point. You can either choose to continue to support the COMMUNITY or not. Personally, I choose the former. To be honest, I'm quite certain that's what SHANNON would want! canada can be very slack sometimes on girls being topless. in ontario a girl can be walking around topless as much as she wants as long as she is over the age of 18. and in vancouver after certain nights at Sin City girls will walk out of the bar topless with no issues but i have no idea if cops come around much after the bar lets out.

Shannon has always struck me as sort of creepy and sex-obsessed (see: multiple posts that claim that all body mod is sexual), as well as a little bit on the, er, eccentric side (see: the coming human-robot apocalypse). I am a big fan of BME and IAM, and have met many very close friends here, and I'm glad he started it, but... something this size is impossible to run by one person. There have been many people working for this for a while, and to say that one crazy dude leaving will wreck everything is to say that the thousands of people who have contributed are nothing, which is insulting. I stopped reading Modblog a while ago, when I got sick of 18 year old girls with navel piercings and star tattoos and no clothes on. Maybe now there will be more interesting things?

Like it has for so many other people, BME has changed my life for the good. I will be forever grateful to you Shannon. And I wish you all the best. Change is often a very good thing. Just because something is DIFERENT doesn't mean it's bad (people in body modification should now this from personal experience). I'm trying to be very positive about the future of BME. However, the last time others had the opportunity to grab the controls and fly the plane it just about careened into the side of a mountain. I hope this time it soars.

I've been coming here since 1994 when I was fifteen. Two years later I was in a shop piercing professionally and I've never looked back. None of that would have been possible without the contributions Shannon Larret made to help bring this culture out of the dark age. Some kids have sports heroes growing up, mine were the guys interviewed on here. Shannon it sucks you're leaving, sucks really bad but I hope you're happy wherever life takes you.
