That was epic. The skin removal on the CBB was a bit rough, I didn't know you had to saw it off like that. From pictures of scarifications I had seen before I thought skin could just peel off when cut on either side. I would really love to see healed pictures, this guy doesn't have IAM?

That stretched septril is about one of the most interesting piercings I've ever seen. It's great-looking and the fact that it has people wondering just how it's done...it's a big win.

I did his makeup for this shot. (and took this photo) We wanted to play up his crazy features, that's why his brows and stash are more defined. Plus his chest tattoo is spooky so I felt it was a nice added touch.

I've seen her on iam before. Her having an iam is clearly enough for her to be on modblog, as she is part of the community. Look at her page. Awesome corseting. I don't understand the problem people have with this. Its not like she's some model out of a magazine that has her navel done or something. There are a lot of things that come with this culture, and this embodies a few of the non piercing aspects.

I've also seen it spelt "Dostoievski". A lot of Russian words, particularly names, seem to have variable spelling. Perhaps Russian doesn't easily lend itself to translation into the Roman alphabet?

Hey back up folks. I wasn't aware that sharing my honest opinion was flaming. I didn't shout, I didn't insult anyone, I didn't even swear. I wasn't denigrating the tattoo itself. As I originally stated it is it well done. In fact, it's quite beautiful. And if it is of profound importance to the individual then I'm all for it. My point was that so many people seem to have wings on their backs that it's becoming cheesy or cliche. Maybe I spend too much time looking at tattoos online and have just seen my fill. And yes RooRaaah I have neglected to share any of my own ink. Mostly because I a)don't have a working digital camera, b)the two pictures I have aren't that good but more importantly because my tattoos are small, tiny in fact, and just aren't up to snuff compared to most of what I've seen on BME. And I'll remove the few BME images, I've only got a few on my blog so it won't be problem. I probably should have known better to begin with but the collection of images on BME is so extensive and impressive I guess I just gave in to temptation.

#17 - me too.. just like when your swinging high on a swing you lift up slightly off the seat when you reach the highest point. something like that could happen with things like this, for example the hooks could slip out/rip out of the peircing, unless they are lock-able hooks
