Regardless if this is an april fools prank or not, this does remind me of the stories i've heard in school about the ancient egyptian nose cult. Apparently, there used to be a group of people who got the idea that all the evil within a person is contained within their noses. So they cut em off. Natually, they couldn't have do with the evil nosed leaders of the day, so they started kidnapping political leaders and chopping off thier noses and people startedd paying attention- and killing all the noseless. The story goes that at this point, the cult decided that well, since they were aware of the evil in the nose, they decided it was best for thier lifespan to redirect the efforts to the afterlife. Ever see a wall of heiroglyphics or portraits, and wonder why all the little noses are chissled off? How could it be possiable for the arms and other extending parts of old statues to still be intact, but the nose is completely removed? It is even one of the theorys of why the Great Sphinx of Giza is noseless. Something to think about at least. "Its not my fault I killed millions, I have a nose!"

I too stretched my lobe beyond the point of it ever closing naturally. I just recently got mine sewn up also and I am so happy not to have a giant whole in my ear for the rest of my life. I just want other people out there to know mine cost $200 which is relatively cheap if you think about it. I guess it depends on the extent of the stretch. I agree w/kati..we do some stupid things in the name of 'coolness' when we are young. No disrespect to people who take it really seriously.

Just thought I would add...I am a Supervisor at my job and soon to be college grad. I always love when people assume that modified sorts can only be employed in the lowest level jobs. You mention union - I used to be a steward and I say you need to get yours of their butt and doing their job at finding you a copy of said handbook. Sadly you can't fight them legally unless they fire you, or unless the union attorneys are willing to step up for this one.

What I'm wondering, why in the hell this blogger put the title Indonesia with such unacceptable picture attached. This is really disgusting and it has nothing to do with the Indonesian since even the guy in the picture not even looks like Indonesian. I'm as Indonesian would like to clarify who are this blogger? and where do you got this picture from? can you prove the place, the time and the original author of this picture? We can sue you for this mis-conduct and mis-information, especially by relating unrelated picture with our country nation Indonesia. Im a trainee chef and i know that chicken carrys salmonella, but it needs to be in the danger zone (between 5degrees c and 63 degrees c) for 10-20 mins for the bacteira to start multiplying, im sure they did all they needed to make sure she didnt catch anything and im sure she knew the risks when she did it so i dont see the problem aslong as shes happy with it.

I love the different blue colors on your right sleeve, I love the sky and that tattoo bit of the sky is great... a nice alternative to blackwork.

Not seen it on the ears, but shoulders is quite common. It marks the pigs with their farm of origin before going on to slaughterhouses (or where ever). It's done with a pattern of nails that form the head of a handle. It's smacked in ink and then onto the pig, a bit like a hammering type action. Very quick, and with a good stockman/aim less stressful than the act of moving them on itself.

I wish I had the guts of these people. Duff does look pretty incredible, in my opinion. I didn't read enough of the posts to know whether she is (or was?) 16 after all, but either way, good karma to her. Likewise to G.C.: considering how long he should have to live, 5 or 10 years here or there won't make much impression on what he'll have to put up with, or what he'll get out of his *ace* lipage.
