These are the lyrics to “Little Panda McElroy” by Xiu Xiu, if it makes any difference to the way you choose to interpret the image…

In terms of the recent discussions about cutting, Tomii sent in these photos of his scars, now seven years old. Not that it’s not obvious, and but always remember that with cutting you may carry your pain with you in public forever — as a side note to this, I know someone who was excused from mandatory military service due to their scars (since covered up) making them ineligible for psychological reasons.

In relation to the skewer pictures below, here are some current photos that are quite graphic on the subject. This particular photo set is from back in February, and since then the sender has healed without complication and submitted another set of similar pictures of a more recent ritual. Illustration of the depth of the cuts continues after the break.

The remainder of the photo set of E-Vomit and her boyfriend continues after the break (and on BME/HARD in the next few days as well)… one of the few cutting entries that isn’t solo, I think?

So my first thought was, “wow, that’s a really great quality skin removal given that it’s DIY with a Swiss Army knife”… My second thought was, “YOU’RE CUTTING TOO DEEP! YOU’RE CUTTING TOO DEEP!”

Dave Gillstrap, who will also be attending this year’s ScarWars, contributed to this amazing chest cutting done on IAM: Whitespace.
I link to IAM a lot, but that’s just because there’s so many people with great work.

x9uij3rWD (which sounds strangely like an IAM image file name) recently had this “most excellent”, “awesome”, “woah” skin removal done by Krazy Erik at Elm City Ink in East Haven.

Click through the picture to read Ferg’s coverage of traditional body modification (ritual cutting, scarification, and subincision) among indigenous Australians (and then come back and talk about it if you want)! Big thanks to Ferg for submitting this and being patient with me in getting it posted.

The story behind this play is actually quite fascinating — the person in the picture was born with webbed toes on their right foot. As a teenager they wanted to normalize this, so using a razor blade they started cutting the web slowly with a razor blade, using pressure to notch in the web. Bleeding was relative minor. In any case, they discovered that they enjoyed this activity and found it exciting, and started doing it recreationally as well with other, unwebbed, toes, and are considering an amputation.

Anyway, I always find it very interesting to find out what the catalyst is that causes people to stumble upon, and then discover that they enjoy, heavy play and modification.

Alysa’s Harry Potter scar was done by Charles Finnie of Dragon FX. Alysa claims to be an extreme hard core Harry Potter fan “addict”.

I know, there may be a bad story behind this (I don’t know it), but I just love the way it looks… For me there’s a very fine line between “cuter” and “cutter”.

I know it took a while to get posted (I think this was submitted back in November), but you know I can’t resist posting a nice bloody leg with my (online) name fingerpainted in blood! Thanks Meerkat!
