A few days ago I posted a set of interesting industrials (which I’ve done before, and of course there’s the big industrial piercing galleries on BME as well with approaching 8,000 photos now), but I thought this placement by Trevor at Urban Art in Mesa, Arizona was interesting — a tragus to vertical lobe project.

Eeeh, I love vertical lobe piercings, I know if I had that set up though, I’d likely do some serious damage to myself.
solocard on March 27th, 2008 at 9:52 amthat seems some pretty silly jewellery, i can see that easily causing some damage. Someones trying too hard. That must put more pressure on the holes.
richard on March 27th, 2008 at 10:28 amThat looks pretty awesome, but I don’t like how the bar seems to be pulling on the tragus. It looks like it might cause unwanted pressure. But interesting idea, nonetheless.
Darah on March 27th, 2008 at 10:34 amvery nicely done. I love the way it looks.
ooElaineoo on March 27th, 2008 at 1:23 pmNice!
PiercingBunny on March 27th, 2008 at 1:39 pmactually the tragus is completely healed. the vertical lobe was done as a well thought out addition. and yes richard i am trying hard. i try hard everyday. whats so silly about a barbell with a slave ring attatched? out of curisity.
t.thomas on March 27th, 2008 at 2:25 pmWay solid Trevor. Ignore the haters, you’re money as always.
Matthew Martyr on March 27th, 2008 at 2:57 pmThat’s pretty darn cool man.
And what’s with all these haters? It’s a very low movement area and your tragus (which is what i’m assuming you are worried about) is a pretty strong little fucker. It’s also quite obvious that the vertical lobe is the new addition so why would u be worried about the ‘extra pressure’ of the minute weight of a barbell on a fully healed cartilage piercing?
Quality on March 27th, 2008 at 3:52 pm#7 and #8, where is the hate? i said it looked silly, don’t over-react. I just personally think that it looks awkward and ill-fitting. Those are my opinions, and I’m as free to post them as you are to post yours.

kell on March 27th, 2008 at 6:59 pmhell ye … really nice idea , really nice!
greenmouse on March 27th, 2008 at 7:15 pmi actually like the feed back. however, i think its hard to explain your work on modblog. i didnt know i was modblogged till someone pointed it out. your welcome to your opinion and to state it. i just dont see whats “silly”
t.thomas on March 27th, 2008 at 7:15 pmI don’t think it looks like it’s pulling at all. There’s extra room at either end of the barbell and the ring will simply move with it if it rises or falls. And I don’t see any side-pull either.
herekittykitty on March 27th, 2008 at 7:59 pmthat’s a lovely little project.
fuus on March 28th, 2008 at 12:32 pmTrev that shit is rad.
