I’ve been meaning to update you on disturbed’s leopard spot facial tattoo (the recent one on Sarah reminded me) since she extended the design down further onto her face with the help of Juan Esparza at Wizard Tattoo in Beaumont, Texas. A second photo continues after the break.

This entry gets increasingly gratuitous as the pictures continue after the break — don’t click through if you’re under 16, and don’t scroll down more than 500 pixels if you’re under 18 — it really is the same person in each photo too. The 3d-star implants and piercings were done by Graeme Hall at No Regrets in Newton Aycliffe, UK.

Herrich, Fousage, and Shemon from Hell.cz in Prague (”personality tuning and body modification”) did these beautiful suspensions on a hill overlooking Czech farmland to celebrate the end of summer (2007). More photos after the break, and if you’re wondering what’s in the last photo, they’re inserting PTFE through the suspension piercings in order to retain them afterwards.

Danae had this done by Koppatone at Fallen Angel Tattoo in Citrus Heights, CA. More photos continue after the break.

Shawn sent me this footage (from some point in 1988) of his old friend Jack Yount and included the following..
“My first contribution to BME, back in 1995, was a memorial article for my friend and mentor Jack Yount. The images that accompanied the article, as well as hundreds to be posted in following years to my own spcOnline site (currently offline), gave you a glimpse of Jack’s extraordinary modifications. This video, taken some years before we met, shows the start of his iconic transformation. It’s my hope however that you look past what Jack has done to his body and listen to the kindness and warmth in his voice.”

If you don’t know what Addict’s new tattoo (by Carly Montgomery of Soul Survivors Body Art in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is about, they say you need to Google “everybody has more sex than me” (warning: link has audio).

And you thought the stone circle was the impressive thing to see at this Japanese (thanks Spring) observatory! Move closer after the break (that “tail” is a DIY project by the way), but as a point of trivia did you know that Japan has megalithic stone circle culture a la monuments like Stonehenge? This is a recreation of course, but ancient examples exist as well.

Banana (of Extigma in Copiapo, Chile) sent in this great shot of a four-point lotus suspension off an old iron bridge in Caldera overlooking the ocean, a beautiful location that reminded me of the Navio Mara suspension posted earlier this month. Nice backpiece also!

This very street-punk looking facial tattoo done in a combination of white and black tribal ink is on a friend in Moscow, Russia.

Speaking of cats, this awesome kitty-cat face implant was done by Sick at Body Tunning in São Paulo, Brasil.

Sick is a very talented carver of Teflon — with a style very suited to the creation of implants — and is also responsible for these great custom 40mm plugs — contact him directly via IAM if you’re interested in commissioning a piece.

Miss Kitty’s angel and devil cats were done by Boris of Boris Tattoo in Hungary while he was touring in London, UK. I definitely agree with her choice of devil cat (not that I don’t think cats are generally devils), and as a rule am no fan of hairless critters, be they cat or be they rat.

There’s another shot after the break.

A few months ago Lostetrnl had both ears pointed, and you can see them above freshly sutured. Unfortunately, unlike most of the ear pointing I’ve posted here, his ears strongly resisted changing shape, and his cartilage forced itself into its original configuration as best it could and effectively “opened up”. At two months, pictured below, his ears are definitely in need of a touch-up, with the left one being especially difficult.
EDIT: I’m told that the left ear was in an accident which caused some of the sutures to rip out, allowing the ear to open even more than the right one did… Hopefully I’ll be back on IAM soon so I can do more follow-up on posts so I don’t have to insert edits!
I don’t have any reason to believe the practitioner made a mistake on how this was done, so I’m not mentioning that here, but I should say that this is an artist that’s done lots of ear pointing with great results in a vast majority — people should remember that things can always go wrong even in the best of situations!

Outside of it being a funny tattoo, on a conceptual level I like the idea of memorializing one body modification with another — Caffeine did this on a customer at Liquid in Lubbock, TX.

Procedural photos continue after the break.
Abacrombie sent in these shots of a truly old-school tattoo experience at the home of Petelo Sula’Ape, a tattoo artist from Faleasiu, Samoa. The tattoo was done over about eight painful hours of tattooing in a single day. Several assistants helped by stretching the skin as Petelo hammered the tattoo in place using traditional tools in his open-air home — which was a good on account of all the smoking!

The explicit photos continue after the break, but I thought these would be a special treat for post-gender enthusiasts — you’re looking at vaginal fisting of course, but also at an erect hormonally-enhanced clitoris… If you haven’t already read the amazing interview with Ashley (iam:endorphinrush), be sure to do that as it talks about this in more detail and is one of my all-time favorite BME interviews.

So back when I posted the “bowtie tattoo“, I joked about tuxedo shirt tattoos being next. I suppose that Taylor’s tie tattoo — as he puts it he’ll “never be under-dressed again” — done by Michael at Electric Body Art in Marietta, Georgia, moves us one step closer to that (which is good, because the Charlie Brown tattoo moved us one step farther away).

Ouch and ouch…
Mistake number one (care of Edmonton, Alberta): getting your nostril pierced with an ear piercing gun.

Mistake number two (care of Plainfield, New Jersey): choosing a piercer with extremely bad aim to do your industrial piercing.

Ben Pass’s amazing vegan sleeve was done by Russ Abbott at Ink and Dagger in Atlanta, Georgia. No offense to the bacon armband, but I think this is by far my favorite food-themed tattoo to date.

I’m nearly through BME’s backlog of images (everything other than submissions via IAM pages are done) — within a few days I’ll be completely caught up. Hopefully soon some remaining issues will be resolved and I will be able to start adding new features and capabilities to ModBlog and BME (to say nothing of IAM as well, which I am very much looking forward to being able to return to) and the site can move forward. A few more interesting interviews are on the way (including an amazing — and very explicit — DIY eunuch feature). Anyway, I’m off to play in the park and so on, but I’ll post more later and hopefully by the time I return an update will be done uploading and I can post that as well.
Please note: If you submitted images via the submissions system or via email before January 21st, and you have not yet gotten a reply, please resubmit them. I believe that the majority of email submitted in October and the first two weeks of November has never made it to me.
Until then, Morgan’s striking mountain of facial piercings.

Brian had a few hours to kill whilst in Toronto, so he gave Chris (who was apparently in a daze and feeling rather week throughout the entire procedure) the time of his life in the shape of this cutting.. If you’d like a copy of the minutes from their meeting let me know, I’ll have them to you within a month.
Apparently there was enough skin left for seconds and everything’s healing like clockwork.
