KirstyJeffery’s tattoos are going to look amazing when they’re all done! These were done by Alex at Midnight Tattoo Studio in Seaford, East Sussex, UK.

I saw these updated somewhere — I guess on her IAM or the main page, and they are absolutely wonderful! Are you going to do both legs, all the way up?
Grunt on August 31st, 2007 at 12:56 pmlove it
natalie b. on August 31st, 2007 at 1:05 pmSorry, but I don’t really understand the tattoo… Can somebody explain it to me ? Thanks.
ChrisFromFrance on August 31st, 2007 at 1:28 pmFins or flippers, curled inward from what I see.
I will reserve judgement until they are finished because as I see them now they don’t leap out at me that much.
However the idea is rather a good one in my opinion.
Giles Wallwork on August 31st, 2007 at 1:32 pmi don’t understand it too much either. i can see where its coming from, but if I’m looking at it right it doesn’t stand out special to me. great idea though, i will wait to see when finished!
lou on August 31st, 2007 at 1:36 pmlooks like it’s well on the way to becoming awesome ^_^ haha
Mess on August 31st, 2007 at 1:41 pmI like it a lot personally… both in terms of idea and execution…
Shannon Larratt on August 31st, 2007 at 1:51 pmi rather enjoy them. i think that they are going to look beautiful when they are done.
Marley on August 31st, 2007 at 2:03 pmOooooh, I like these very much. The ’salmony’ colour is gorgeous.
Chaq on August 31st, 2007 at 2:14 pmY’see I think bluey green would have worked better, for me at least.
And maybe Tom Hanks next to them.
Giles Wallwork on August 31st, 2007 at 2:17 pmSuch a cool idea!
Sinnocent on August 31st, 2007 at 2:23 pmi love that!
memphis on August 31st, 2007 at 2:38 pmI enjoy these a lot and will anticipate seeing the finished product. For the people who are confused, take into concideration that this is only a section of the final, I’m not so sure what else to say seeing as its not all that hard to figure out.
kuroneko711 on August 31st, 2007 at 2:56 pmI love them! Can’t wait to see them finished.
Also, Giles Wallwork, I ditto on the Tom Hanks.
spunky_nikki on August 31st, 2007 at 3:26 pmScaled vagina.

taterotica on August 31st, 2007 at 4:32 pmVery pretty but doesn’t look all that fishy to me.
Fred on August 31st, 2007 at 4:33 pmit does look nice. if you look from a top view and ignore that she has toes…it would look like shes got a mermaid tail. but if youre just looking from the side…well…its not gonna look much like one. silly humans
aj on August 31st, 2007 at 5:42 pmI think they’re lovely.

Encyfish on September 1st, 2007 at 12:48 am…On an unrelated note, I also enjoy the back piece at the top of the page! Yay for Central American art! Has anyone ever noticed how much the center of the Aztec Calendar looks like the BME characterizations? just a random observation…
They make me think of sushi!
beth on September 1st, 2007 at 1:22 amVery cool idea. They remind me of Elayne Angel’s mermaid legs! Picture: http://www.ringsofdesire.com/angel-poster.html

oftheappletree on September 1st, 2007 at 5:09 pmI was always a fan of the colouring of Darryl Hannah’s tail in Splash, so I think the colour is just right. Great design too.
