Lobes Censored!

By Shannon • Mar 15th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

So you may remember Candice, a beautiful UK-based model that I’ve featured here a few times before (see also: 1, 2, 3). Anyway, she recently did an advertising campaign for a university psychology research program… Much to her surprise (and irritation!) they actually Photoshopped her 28mm lobes out of the pictures completely and replaced them with ones that she thinks look hideous on her! I guess having stuff like this is part of the territory if you’re a model, but I just don’t understand why they’d hire someone with stretched ears just to edit them out later…

What a nice shirt you have!

By Shannon • Mar 15th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

So I was thinking, wow, Paul got a really cool tribal-print t-shirt, and then I’m like… oh! that’s a tattoo! This great chestpiece is by Hannes from Blut & Eisen in Berlin, Germany (the wrist bands are just drawn on).

Steel Jaw

Piercing Pete at The Piercing Urge in Melbourne sends in this photo of a cheek staple he did on William… Quite an interesting placement. I actually marked it out on my face because I was wondering how much motion it would have to deal with, and it’s surprisingly little, so I’m looking forward to hearing how the healing goes.

Bumblebees and Tractors

By Shannon • Mar 15th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

It’s pretty common when tattoo artists go to the bathroom or out for lunch, for someone else in their shop to “borrow” their not-logged-out-of IAM page and express their undying love for donkey love. It’s worse though when Cere’s hanging out at the shop, because he’s moved past messing with people’s computers to messing with their tattoo machines… That said, I have to admit the “JOHN CERE” tractor is pretty funny! Beware if you see him lurking about Beelistic Tattoos in Cincinnati (previously).

Pi day? I prefer PIE DAY!

By Shannon • Mar 15th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

If yesterday was Pi Day, then let me offer something to those of you who are bad spellers and were terribly disappointed in the geekiness of it all. Here’s Leanne’s cherry pie tattoo done by James at White Knuckle Tattoo in Westlake, Ohio.

Get you love drunk off my hump.

By Shannon • Mar 15th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

I find this photo humorous for many reasons but thanks to Will Ferrell, all I can think of is that song…

I’ma get, get, get, get, you drunk,
Get you love drunk off my hump.
My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump,
My hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely little lumps

They say I’m really sexy,
The boys they wanna sex me.
They always standing next to me,
Always dancing next to me,
Tryin’ a feel my hump, hump.
Lookin’ at my lump, lump.

My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump,
My lovely lady lumps (lumps)

Eyeball Skull Tattoo

By Shannon • Mar 15th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

Hahahaha, I love it! This is by Clint James at Outlaw Ink in Killeen, Texas. Next bald or balding dude that passes out near me, I am totally drawing an eyeball on the back of their head. Hell, I’m taking a note from James (and Cere) and tattooing it!

Business Banker Covers Up Nipple On His Tattoo!

By Lane Jensen • Mar 15th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

Aaron B. was recently promoted to the title of RBC Business Banker and felt that it would be inappropriate for a nipple on a previous tattoo he had done before getting this promotion, to pop out of his golf shirt during an afternoon game of golf with his clients. So he recently went into Dragon FX and had Katherine Rewus come up with a creative way to cover up one of her nipples without ruining the shape of her breast. Oddly enough he asked to preserve the other nipple as exposed. Aaron felt that the side angle wouldn’t attract much attention. I hope he’s right.
