Patrick’s Implant and Piercings

Patrick from Denmark has some of the most intense facial mods — tons of piercings, transdermals, and subdermals — of anyone I know, and it’s been fascinating, because he’s been a BME contributor now for quite some time, I’ve been watching it evolve, get sort of chaotic and off balance for a while (sorry), and now come back into focus in what I think is becoming a really mature and great looking set of mods.

This is Iguana Mike, a client of Shawn O’Hare’s at Charlies House of Tattoos and Body Piercing in Ventura County, CA. What interests me the most about Mike’s (intense) modifications is the asymmetry — I think he’s one of the only people I can think of with such large changes where literal reflective balance has not been an issue.

I have no idea what Adrenalynn’s “13 1/2″ hand tattoo means, but because it was done by her husband Mr. Genital Tattoo Jarrod Richardson at Psycho Clown Tattoo in Fort Worth Texas I am blindly guessing that the explanation has little to do with The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear would make me blush (well, if I blushed). But it’s a blind guess and I may be wrong.

Seriously, I love that someone was so caught up in the holiday spirit that they went and got themselves tattooed as a walking Christmas and New Year card! That said, the tattoo is pretty piss-poor, so it’s a good thing they were able to go and get this great cover up by Ben Boston at The Tattoo Studio in Bristol, UK… Definitely a massive improvement!

…but it turns out that Wizzer, Squ3z, and Tyler (Anomaly Studios, Pasadena CA) have done the world’s first guiche microdermal. Well, I suppose if you want to test the durability and survivability of this procedure (more), this is a good way to do it.
