Explaining Love in Tattoos

By Shannon • Jul 31st, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

From BME’s love themed tattoo gallery, here’s two ways of talking about love. On the left we’ll start with a simple love letter, on Lil Miss Strange by Lucas in Beerse, Belgium. On the right is a tattoo by Mark at On Edge in The Netherlands, with a slightly more indepth explanation — “love is the reunification of the two halves of a split soul”.

  1. The left on looks like the words are all jumbled in the sentence, but its because they wrote “is the reunification of the two halves ” in two lines, and then UNDER those two lines they added “of a split soul”..

which means that if you’re trying to read like a normal english person, you’ll be tempted to read left to right, but that would then make this :

“Love the reunification of a split of the two halves soul”
    .. …….
that obviously doesn’t make sense, you have to kind of unjumble the words if figure out how its written..
anyways i just find that a bit odd, but they both send out a beautiful message: love. :)

  2. i love that bum… kudos on the glutes girl… i just wanna bite it

  3. “Love is the reunification of two halves of a split soul” sounds an AWFUL lot like the main philosophical concept behind Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

  4. what a wonderful ass-cheek - kiss, kiss, kiss…

  5. I wish I could kiss her shapely behind
